Cold weather sent us out to the swamp for firewood. Everyone loves a chainsaw and a good day of work. Now the forecast is for warmer weather, and we want a fire in our fireplace. We’re prepared now for when the weather turns again.

This is Season II of Cotillion for Samara and Mitchell. I joined them for their Winter Ball. All the young ladies were beautifully dressed in white and young gentlemen in their suits and ties. They are learning to sit, dine, greet and communicate with others properly, along with learning new dance moves - box step and swing. I love every minute of being a part of their lives and experiences.

Garrett, Mitchell, and Eddie the dog hit the trail for a weekend of Jeepin’, fishing, and camping in Ocala National Forest. We seem to be really great at picking cold weekends for camping, and this trip was no exception. All our water was frozen when we woke up in the morning! Lots of fun though and some great father-son memories made.

We are season ticket holders for Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, and this last show we went to didn’t disappoint! Honestly I wasn’t too sure about the show beforehand, as I had never heard of it before, but the music was by Andrew Lloyd Webber, so it HAD to be worth going to and giving it a shot. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was such a blast to watch. The high energy, costumes, and songs had us all smiling ear to ear and enjoying every minute!
